Nostalgic Games – Graphic Gift

Created a graphic gift from one my favorite games as a 90s baby, Alien Brigade and Mr. Game and Watch mini handheld games. In trying to develop a graphic gift, I used google search and found an atari poster of Alien Brigade alongside a new “console” they were releasing. Also I found a high definition picture of a early Mr. Game and Watch handheld game device and decided why don’t I combine the two elements. I used Photoshop CS6 in Ubuntu 12.04 (I dual booted my computer but run Ubuntu primarily. Used a program called “wine” to run windows applications in Ubuntu because I hate gimp) to create my final gift image. I considered both of these games as vintage as they have been around since the 70s. I used perspective tool to change how the pictures from the poster look onto the angle of the device. Cut the main poster image by using the Pen Tool.
